Paulus Hook — History Happened Here Children’s Tour & History Hunt

Pick a History Hunt!

Join the Historic Paulus Hook Association and the Jersey City Landmarks Conservancy for PAULUS HOOK — HISTORY HAPPENED HERE CHILDREN’S TOUR & HISTORY HUNT, a children-themed tour with fun activities starting at 11:00 AM!

The free guided walking tour starts at 11:00 AM at Paulus Hook Park at Washington and Grand streets and will be led by Jersey City educator and preservation advocate John Gomez, with assistance from the HPHA and The Museum of Jersey City History.

Self-guided tours are also free between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM, with maps and helpful handouts available at our table at Paulus Hook Park.

Young participants and their parents/guardians will explore the streets, alleys, pockets, and open spaces of the Paulus Hook Historic District as they scavenger-hunt architectural types, details, and other preservation mysteries!

Families can register at www.paulushook.org/historytour or via this Google Form.

This free programming is made possible by an incubation grant from the New Jersey Council for the Humanities with additional financial support from the Jersey City Landmarks Conservancy, Christopher Perez, JCLC President.
