Old Bergen Church of Jersey City is awarded an Excellence in Preservation Award for the breathtaking restoration of its graceful 1841 Greek Revival church, which stands at the corner of Bergen and Highland Avenues as the home of what most historians consider the oldest continuing religious congregation in New Jersey.

Excellence in Preservation Award

Fleet Bank is awarded an Excellence in Preservation Award for the painstaking restoration of its neoclassical interior bank lobby at One Exchange Place, and for its generous support of preservation through historical art exhibits.


Exeter Property Services

Excellence in Preservation Award

Exeter Property Services is awarded an Excellence in Preservation Award for the brilliant restoration and adaptive reuse of the Hamilton Park Foundry, an 1895 industrial factory that once manufactured fine brass lamps for hundreds of trolley cars traversing Jersey City's cobbled streets.

The Theodore Conrad Preservation Award, named after Jersey City's first and most famous preservationist, is presented to Colin Egan and the Friends of the Loew's for their exemplary grassroots efforts to save and restore the historic Loew's Jersey Theatre, New Jersey's most beautiful movie palace.
