Bel Fuse, Inc. for the creative adaptive reuse of 206 Van Vorst Street, the former Brinkman & Hauck Wheelwrights Shop, manufacturers of horse carriages and coaches, erected circa 1850-1868.


St. Patrick's Church and School

Excellence in Preservation Award

St. Patrick's Church and School in recognition of the restorations of St. Patrick's Church, 492 Bramhall Avenue, designed by Patrick Keeley in 1870, and St. Patrick's School, 511 Bramhall Avenue, designed by Jeremiah O'Rourke in 1901.

Excellence in Preservation Award

Michael A. Leon and David Casson for restoring 25 Bentley Avenue, a 1926 Arts & Crafts mansion.


Michael A. Smith and Christopher W. Johnson

Excellence in Preservation Award

Michael A. Smith and Christopher W. Johnson for restoring 47 Bentley Avenue, an 1889 Georgian Colonial Revival mansion designed by Jersey City architect John T. Rowland.


Helene Stapinski

J. Owen Grundy History Award

The prestigious J. Owen Grundy History Award, named after Jersey City's most renowned 20th century historian, is given to the former Jersey Journal reporter Helene Stapinski for her book "Five-Finger Discount: A Crooked Family History."


Maureen Crowley and The Embankment Preservation Coalition

Theodore Conrad Preservation Award

The Theodore Conrad Preservation Award, named after Jersey City's famous preservationist in recognition of grassroots efforts in local historical preservation, is presented to Maureen Crowley and The Embankment Preservation Coalition for their efforts to save and reuse the 1901-1905 Pennsylvania Railroad Harsimus Branch Embankment, a massive sectional retaining wall that traverses six blocks between Fifth and Sixth Streets.

Living Landmark Award, given to an individual who embodies the history of Jersey City, is presented to Theodore Brunson, founder of the Jersey City Afro-American Historical Society Museum
