Excellence in Preservation Award

For restoration of its stained glass masterpiece "Christ the Teacher." Barbara Miese of Artbuilders, Inc., performed the masterful restoration.


Richard James: Pennsylvania Railroad Harsimus Stem Branch Embankment State and National Register Nomination

J. Owen Grundy History Award

Richard James's nomination successfully placed the 6th Street Embankment on the State Register of historic places. The designation was one of the initial victories in the preservation of the Embankment, and led the way for the sustained campaign that exists today.


Rosalyn Browne and the Communipaw Avenue Block Association

Theodore Conrad Preservationist Award

Rosalyn Browne and CABA have been staunch allies in preserving the Lafayette section of Jersey City. They also put on an annual neighborhood history festival and have assisted the Conservancy with its publication on Lafayette History.

Preservation Stewardship Award

The four neighborhood associations all have demonstrated a watchful eye and taken care to preserve the historic fabric of each national historic district in Jersey City.

Living Legend Award

The Jersey City resident became a well known artisan and played a key role in what some consider Jersey City's flagship preservation project, the restoration of the Hudson County Courthouse.
