YOUNG PRESERVATIONISTS
JC Landmarks has given rise to a youthful generation of preservationists - perhaps our greatest accomplishment since being founded in 1999.
In 2006, gathering under the astrological ceiling of Grand Central Terminal, a determined group of local high school students, with our guidance and mentorship, formed SAVE (Sustaining Architectural Vitality in the Environment) in order to assist and energize the city's preservation movement.
These students were - and still are - an inspiration to seasoned preservationists and helped keep our heads high even during the worst losses.

After a few years of serious advocacy work in the never-eventless preservation scene of Jersey City, these young visionary founding members (click on the SAVE logo below to learn more about them!) went on to attend college - including Harvard University, New York University, Rutgers University, and the Illinois Institute of Technology, among other prestigious institutions. Their concentrated majors include architecture, art history, environmental studies, business - and of course historic preservation!
It is hoped that the original SAVE members decide to return to the city of their youths to continue preserving what is essential to all: ancient architecture.
And it is hoped that other young visionaries may soon come forward to carry the SAVE torch!
SAVE - THE RISING GENERATION!
