The Jersey City Landmarks Conservancy invites you to join us for a special walking tour of the Lafayette neighborhood led by lifelong resident, historian, and community advocate Jerome Choice.

Explore the deeply rooted history of Lafayette—home to generations of African American families, civic leaders, artists, and change-makers. Jerome will share stories that highlight the neighborhood’s evolution, resilience, and cultural legacy, bringing overlooked landmarks and local lore to life.
